The Chimney Company Homeowners Call When The Fix Didn't Hold
A lot of our work starts with somebody who has already had a quote and doesn’t trust it. That’s not an accident. Chimney damage sits well above eye level where you can’t check anything yourself, which makes it an easy trade to oversell in.
So we photograph everything, we put the scope in writing, and we separate what’s genuinely urgent from what can wait a season. Sometimes that means telling you the job is smaller than the last company said. That’s the whole reason people keep calling us back.
Every technician is CSIA-certified
We catch what others miss
Must-do's and could-do's, clearly separated
We take jobs others turn down
The house is left clean
Already Got A Quote From Another Company?
Bring it to us. We’ll review the scope honestly and tell you whether the work is actually necessary – and we’ll beat their written estimate by $150 on qualifying projects over $1,500.
A second opinion costs you nothing. It’s saved some of our customers several hundred dollars.
How Working With Us Actually Goes
Whatever the job, the process is the same. Diagnose properly, quote honestly, document everything.
1 Step
Call Or Send The Form
Tell us what’s happening. If you’re not sure what you need, describe what you’re seeing and we’ll work it out. Same-week appointments across Chicagoland, Monday through Saturday.
2 Step
Free On-Site Assessment
A CSIA-certified technician inspects the full system, using a camera where the flue interior matters. No charge, no obligation, and we protect floors and furniture before anything starts.
3 Step
Photos And A Written Scope
You see photographs of what we found, then get it in writing with urgent work separated from what can wait. Nothing proceeds until you’ve read it and agreed.
4 Step
The Work Itself
Done to NFPA standards by certified technicians, with the property cleared before we leave. Most jobs are completed in a single visit.
5 Step
Documentation You Keep
Before-and-after photographs, a written record of what was done, and warranty terms. Useful for insurance claims and essential when you eventually sell the house.
The Same Standards On Every Job
Small job or full rebuild, nothing gets skipped because the ticket is cheap. Certificates of insurance available before work begins.

Common Questions
How often should my chimney be inspected?
Once a year at minimum, and that's the NFPA recommendation even if you barely light a fire. Unused chimneys still collect animal nests, moisture damage and structural deterioration. If you've had a chimney fire, bought a new home or changed fuel types, you need a Level 2 inspection before the next use.
Are your estimates really free?
Yes. The on-site assessment, the written scope and the photographs all come at no cost with no obligation to book anything. That includes second opinions on quotes from other companies, which is a large share of the calls we get.
Do you cover my town?
We serve all cities across DuPage, Cook, Kane, Will and Lake counties with no travel fees anywhere inside that area. If your town isn't on our service areas page, call anyway — we take work across the wider metro regularly.
How soon can you come out?
Same-week for most jobs, often faster in DuPage and western Cook where we're based. Autumn is the busiest stretch of our year, so if you want the chimney sorted before the first fire, book earlier rather than in October.
Will someone try to sell me things I don't need?
No. Safety comes before sales on every job. Every scope we write separates urgent safety work from what can reasonably wait a season, and our technicians are trained not to push the second category. When something does need fixing we fix it properly - we do not sell bandaids that put the same problem back on your list in two years. It's the thing customers mention most often in reviews, and it's why we get called for second opinions.
Do you work on older Chicagoland homes?
Constantly, and it's genuinely different work. Pre-war brick is soft and was laid with lime mortar, so repointing it with modern Portland cement cracks the brick faces off within a few winters. Plenty of these chimneys were also built with no liner at all.
